Short-eared Owls

A bird, a Short-eared Owl, in flight with its wings spread horizontally. The Owl is in the upper right quarter of the frame. Its yellow eye with black pupil shows prominently in its face. The background is tall, brown and gold grass. The color of the bird matches the color of the grass quite well. It’s a good example of effective camouflage.
